What Americans Think About Energy & Drilling…
According to a recent poll, by Belden, Russonello & Stewart, more Americans support investing in new energy technology rather than expanding oil exploration and drilling.
By the Numbers:
76% - think investing in new energy technology is the most important priority
66% - think that protect lands should remain off limits because they are valuable natural resources that cannot be replaced
63% - think that opening up public lands to oil and gas drilling is more likely to enrich oil companies than to lower gas prices for consumers
54% - do not think that allowing oil companies to drill in public lands and offshore will lower gas prices
